My little tough guy

This is my pup, Fonzie. He's nearly 4 years old and has been the happiest dog I have ever seen. He's had allergies and a skin condition for a while now so the poor thing has to have tablets every day to keep it under control. Last week I noticed a little bump on his belly. It looked kind of like a pimple so I assumed it would be a bug bite. Dad and Sam took Fonzie to the vet and when they came back we got bad news. The Fonz has cancer. That 'bug bite' turned out to be a tumor. The vet said he needed surgery within the week otherwise it will spread and he'll need chemo. I went upstairs and just cried. We tried calling a few veterinary hospitals to see if the surgery could be done that day or the next but everyone had even more fees for the check up as well as the surgery so it was going to cost over $1000. Dad took the next day off to take Fonzie to the vet that could do the surgery the cheapest (forking out $1000 you don't even have is difficult). At 8:30 in the morning the initial vet who told us the news called up and said he was concerned about our poor boy and didnt want him to wait any longer, so he called us in for emergency surgery. Fonz was dropped off at the vet and was so excited he peed on the floor twice. Its like he knew he was going to get treated and feel better haha. At 5:30pm he was ready to come home, cancer free.

His allergies cause him to still scratch so we were all on watch so he didn't split his stitches open (which he thankfully hasn't! phew!). He has to wear his cone for another few days and gets the stitches out in a week.
I'm so happy and grateful that there are amazing human beings out there. If it wasn't for the vet, Fonzie would have been in a lot more pain and only able to get his surgery now.
Thank you so much to everyone at the Caroline Springs Veterinary Clinic. You're all absolutely amazing. <3

Movie date

We went out to see End of Watch at the cinemas. It was so good! I'm not very good at explaining movies without giving away the whole storyline, but lets just say if you're into movies like Training Day, go see it.
I also got a new phone, the new iPhone 5. I previously had the iPhone 3 then got a HTC Desire Z and because that was crap I used my old iPhone until my contract ran out and now I finally have a phone with a frontal camera! Helloooooo selfies! haha

Sam is becoming a bit of a skinhead and I'm absolutely loving this change. But his wardrobe is more cohesive than mine now, so I'm pretty jealous.

I was grumpy cat when we got home because I just wanted to sleep and I was so restless after all of the activities of the day.

Florals for Spring... Ground breaking.

Spring is my fave outfit season. It means long leggings and cardigans over dresses weather. I'm trying to make the most of this perfect weather before it starts heating up and Summer strikes.

Taking off my training wheels

A few months ago Sam bought a bike because he felt it was a cheaper alternative to going to the gym and according to him 'bike riding is fun'. I scoffed and said it was lame. I never learnt how to ride a bike. I never got past taking the training wheels off because I got bored with it really quickly, so I guess that was my reason for my response. A few weeks ago we were at DFO and I just decided 'hey what if I tried to learn how to ride a bike' and bought the bike and accessories on the spot. I'm glad I did because it turns out bike riding is the most fun thing ever!

I still feel like a dork wearing my size XXL helmet (my head is also plus size).

Me just standing next to Sams bike is ridic. THE SEAT REACHES MY DAMN SHOULDERS! Its ok though coz Sam is a giant so he fits it perfectly.

On Monday we went for the sickest ride ever! It was scorching hot and it just felt like the perfect outdoorsy day. We rode a few km's before I felt like dying. My bike doesn't have any speeds so when I go on a slight incline I have to try my damnedest to get up that hill. After this ride I felt liberated. I felt like I could breathe better and I just felt like I was achieving something within myself. I don't know what it was but it made me feel proud of myself. I feel so happy even just thinking about when the next time I get to go out on a ride is haha

And what would a hot day filled with bike riding be without an ice cream from the servo...

Spring has sprung!

It's finally better weather for outfits and outfit photos! HOORAY!
I took this outfit on its maiden voyage and it made me feel like the baddest bitch. It felt beachy and office chic at the same time and it's just perfect for this amazing weather Melbourne is having.

This seems like its going to be my backdrop of all upcoming OOTD's haha

Sam likes to take photos of me while I'm doing boring things. In this photo I'm sorting out all the crap in my bag and purse. Come to think of it, I collect a lot of interesting stuff in my bag during the week so I should probably do my first ever 'Whats in my bag' post sometime soon.

Royal Melbourne Show cuteness

Even though the Royal Melbourne Show was last month, here are some snippets of the day I had with Sam & his brother.

These cows sitting there just reminded me of me <3

LOOK AT THIS SWEET BABY AND HIS DISNEY EYES!

And these little pumpkins cuddling!

This little goose had the cutest toupee I have ever seen!

These little piggies were having a race to their mama and then they started a little piggy fight and were jumping over each other. I just want a pet pig after seeing these little cuties!

I've always loved the show and always will (even if it is getting even more expensive each year).
